From Feature Classes to ArcGIS Pro Parcel Fabric: Making the Transition a Success

Skill Level: Beginner, Intermediate

Intended Audience: GIS Builder, Management, Other

Abstract

Hear how Will County went directly from managing its 280,000 parcels in feature classes to the ArcGIS Pro Parcel Fabric. The County had meticulously maintained its data but wanted to embrace the parcel history, parcel-enabled editing tools, attribute rules and tasks of the ArcGIS Pro Parcel Fabric. But the project was about more than migrating to a new technology. County parcel editors were largely self-taught GIS users, and training and communication were essential to their continued success. Hear how they became self-sufficient and are using the latest GIS tools to serve citizens and staff.
